Sarah Gosney joined the Children’s Services Council of Martin County in 2011 as Director of Policy and Operations. 

Prior to joining the Martin County team, Sarah worked for the Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach serving as the Director of the Healthy Start Coalition of Palm Beach County for 5 years. Sarah served as Director of the Healthy Start Coalition in Martin County for 13 years and has resided in Martin County since 1992.  

Her diverse background includes serving as the administrator of an alternative high school for pregnant and parenting teens in Los Angeles County and as an assistant professor in early childhood development at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She has a strong background in planning, advocacy and community engagement.

In her role, Sarah directs, administers and manages the Council's operations and planning components. This included oversight of the annual funding cycle, contract management, program monitoring and evaluation, needs assessment and policy direction. This position also directs the CSCMC strategic plan.

Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in Home Economics Education and followed with a Master’s degree from Utah State University in Child Development.
