Cheri Sheffer, Treasurer

Cheri Sheffer is the Circuit Community Development Administrator for the Florida Department of Children and Families in Circuit 19. Ms Sheffer has served the Treasure Coast community for more than 20 years, including 13 years overseeing DCF community relations and contracted mental health, substance abuse and   child welfare services. Prior to her DCF career,  Ms. Sheffer served in direct services and administrative capacities within local non-profit mental health and child development agencies on the Treasure Coast.           
                                                                                                                  
Ms. Sheffer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., and is active with the Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee, the Martin County Health Collaborative, and other community organizations dedicated to the health and well-being of children.             
                                                                                                                  
Ms. Sheffer serves as a statutory designee on the Children’s Services Council of Martin County since October 2011 because of her role as Circuit  Administrator of Circuit 19 of the Florida Department of Children and Families.
