Strategic Plan
(Effective October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2031)
The Children’s Services Council of Martin County (CSCMC) makes funding decisions based on its current 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, which is updated every five years. This plan is shaped by both empirical data and grassroots community input, helping us assess how Martin County’s children are doing compared to past performance, state and national statistics, and industry benchmarks.
These insights inform our funding priorities and strategic investments, ensuring that resources are directed where they can make the greatest impact. CSCMC works alongside local partners to continually evaluate the effectiveness of funded services in improving the health and well-being of children and families in our community.
Strategic Planning Process
The 2026-2031 CSCMC Strategic Plan was developed through a needs assessment process conducted from 2024 through early 2026. Activities in support of the Strategic Plan included a comprehensive survey of CSCMC Council members to capture their insight regarding issues affecting Martin County’s families.
Council also participated in a workshop to identify the current strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and potential threats specific to CSCMC’s capacity to meet the needs of, and fill gaps that can affect our children’s access to immediate, quality care.
Additionally, the 2026–2031 Strategic Plan is driven by quantitative data that focuses on the prevalence and occurrence of indicators that invite effective, preventative measures and interventions to guide families’ success in their lives together and secure their children’s futures.
Altogether, the above shape CSCMC’s Funding Priority Areas to guide its impact-focused investments from 2026 to 2031.
