2021-2022 Annual Report

51% of students who are entering Kindergarten scor

51% of students who are entering Kindergarten scored on-level last Fall, which means 49% of students in the Martin County School District were not ready for Kindergarten.

CSCMC, H.I.P.P.Y. of Martin County, and Martin READS!, recognize that this needs to change. If you are passionate about early childhood development and literacy, please reach out to us to learn how we can partner and work towards 100% of our students being prepared for Kindergarten.

Congratulations to Martin County Healthy Start Coalition, Inc. for celebrating your 1st year of community Doula services in Martin County.

Monday, May 22nd, they hosted a Doula Appreciation Brunch and recognized Lucy Collazo as Doula of the Year! This is a wonderful service that is offered to the mother's and babies of Martin, that support a healthy start! CSCMC is a proud supporter of this program and this wonderful organization that is making an impact from the beginning of life. Thank you for all the services you provide to our community.

If you have a child between the ages of 6 months to 17 years old, you are a Martin County resident, and you receive SNAP, Medicaid/KidCare, Free/Reduced Lunch, or Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin & Okeechobee subsidy, you can receive FREE SWIM LESSONS!!

Urgent Need Funding was awarded to the Boys & Girl

Urgent Need Funding was awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County to support the mitigation of a long waitlist of youth in the Port Salerno area that need out-of-school time services. The Boys & Girls Club in Port Salerno is filled to capacity so in order to accommodate more families in need, BGC partnered with the Martin County School District and is now operating a satellite space at Port Salerno Elementary school. These funds are being utilized to support staffing and supplies at their additional location in Port Salerno to deliver high quality afterschool and summer camp services to the youth in Martin County.

Another great partnership highlighting Community Unity! Two organizations working towards one common goal; investing in our children because they are our future.

Check it out! The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast is having a Sensory Friendly Day sponsored by one of CSCMC's Businesses of Benevolence, Colorado Pawn and Jewelry. Owners Steve and Evie have hearts of gold and we are blessed to have them in our community! We love seeing our community come together for one common goal, our children.
