Mary Rodriguez
HIPPY Coordinator
Mary joined Children’s Services Council of Martin County in November 2022.
Prior to joining the Children’s Services Council’s team, Mary was HIPPY Coordinator for the Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County in Lake Worth for 12 years. She also served as WXEL PBS TV’s Ready to Learn Outreach Coordinator, teaching the community and parents “How to use Television as an Educational Tool” and led “GED on TV”.
Mary has been awarded Florida’s “All American Success Stories” and was featured in Woman’s World Magazine. She has also been recognized in local newspaper articles for the accomplishments she has achieved as a child of a migrant worker having a successful career working within the community.
In her role as HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Coordinator, she helps facilitate and coordinate home visits where parents are taught how to become their child’s first teacher.
Mary relates “It is a great pleasure to return to HIPPY. I was also a HIPPY Parent, learning to become my child’s first teacher and experienced first-hand what HIPPY has to offer. HIPPY is a passion of mine that has always stayed in my heart. Once a HIPPY, always a HIPPY.”
